Iowa workers claim $241M Powerball jackpot

20 Quaker Oats plant workers have claimed a record $241 million Powerball jackpot in Iowa, the Associated Press reported.
The ticket had been unclaimed at the time of the lottery but Iowa Lottery spokeswoman Mary Neubauer said the agency had verified the June 13 ticket, the AP wrote.
Morris said the winners all are between 35 and 64 years old and work in the Quaker plant's shipping department.
Iowa's Quad-City Times reported the group who work in Cedar Rapids chartered a bus to the lottery offices in Des Moines where they presented the winning ticket.
“That’s a whole lot of zeros,” Neubauer said when the machine announced the prize. “They’re obviously having a great time.”

"They're in shock. Still trying to recover," Joe Day, the group's lawyer, told the AP.
According to Neubauer, the winnings add up to about $5.6 million per person after taxes if they take a "lump-sum."
The ticket, sold at a grocery store, is the state's biggest winner yet and the seventh ticket sold in Iowa to win the Powerball jackpot. The AP wrote the most recent winners walked away with $200.8 million in 2006. According to the CBS News, the ticket was sold at the Hy-Vee Cedar Rapids.
