George Clooney will host a fundraiser at his Los Angeles home next month for President Barack Obama's reelection campaign.
The Oscar-winner and longtime Democratic activist will host the president and about 150 guests at the event on May 10, according to Entertainment Tonight.
The $40,000-a-plate fundraiser will be co-hosted by DreamWorks Animation CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg, who according to The Hollywood Reporter was originally supposed to host the party.

Katzenberg's $35 million new home was not finished in time, however, forcing the venue change, the paper wrote.
"I'm proud to do whatever I can to support the president… as long as no one asks me to sing," Clooney joked to ET — a reference to Obama's recent impromptu singing performances.
Proceeds of the dinner will go to the Obama Victory Fund — a joint fundraising committee of Obama for America, the Democratic National Committee, and several state Democratic parties, ET wrote.
SeattlePI.com points out that Clooney has been a high-profile presence in Washington DC of late, attending a White House state dinner for visiting British Prime Minister David Cameron were he was seated beside first lady Michelle Obama.
He was also arrested in a demonstration outside Sudan’s embassy in Washington, protesting the bombing of Nubian villagers in the new nation of South Sudan.

And Clooney and girlfriend, Stacy Keiber, will be guests of Time magazine at the White House correspondents dinner later this month.
