A 13-year-old boy is missing after a small boat overturned and sank in Oregon's Columbia River in a family holiday turned tragic Monday.
The boy's father and grandfather were rescued by a nearby boater, The Oregonian reported.

A witness watched as the small boat that was anchored got entangled in the anchor line and overturned at about 10 a.m., tossing the three boaters into the cold and fast-moving water, according to The Associated Press.
Rescue crews from several agencies in Oregon and Washington state were searching for the boy, although authorities said the search had become a recovery effort by about noon, Portland, Ore., TV station KGW reported.

A US Coast Guard helicopter and a specially trained dive team were assisting recovery crews, according to KGW.
A fisherman told Portland TV station KATU that a cooler, life jacket, hat and other debris could be seen floating in the water.
