Whatever happened to flowers?

A Chinese man has been ordered to pay $300 in damages after sending a bottle of his semen to a woman as a token of his affection, Gawker reported.

Zeng Lin, 19, told authorities she thought it was lotion.

She had rubbed nearly half of the liquid into her face before becoming suspicious of the smell, the International Business Times reported.

Her roommate then confirmed her worst fears: the "lotion" was really semen.

Culprit Gou Wen, 22, has apologized to Lin and said he only did it out of love.

“I love her so much but she didn’t know it and I didn’t know how to tell her," he was quoted by The Sun as saying. “So I did that thinking it was the ultimate way to show love."

But Gou isn't giving up, telling The Sun he's determined to "find another way" to win Zeng's heart.

Maybe next time he'll try candy.
