A 5-year-old Connecticut boy reportedly brought 50 packets of heroin to school for show and tell, leading to his stepfather being arrested.

The boy arrived at the Bridgeport kindergarten with his stepfather's jacket, pulling out the drugs in 10 small plastic bags when it came time for his presentation to the class, the police told the Connecticut Post.

The teacher grabbed the bags away from the boy and the principal called police, the paper wrote.

Maureen DaCosta, the boy’s mother was also charged by police for risk of injury to a minor, the Medical Daily wrote. She was released on bail Tuesday after she appeared in Hartford Superior Court.

The boy was put into state custody until other relatives could be located.
