Female police officers pose as prostitutes on Holt Boulevard, known to sex workers throughout southern California as “the track,” on November 12, 2004.
Sometimes it's hard to know what people are thinking when they do stupid things.
An Englishman dialed the police this week after he was disappointed in the appearance of a prostitute he ordered.
Solihull police officers were obviously bemused when the john said the woman had breached the "Sale of Goods Act," by mischaracterizing herself.
The law states that goods must be of satisfactory quality, be fit for purpose and match the sellers’ description, said the Mirror newspaper.
The Mirror has the recording of the phone call here.
The hooker was furious and stormed off, throwing his car keys in her client's face.
The man was warned by the 911 operator to stop wasting their time and that soliciting sex was actually in violation of the law.
Police identified the man and sent him a letter.
This being 2013, they also tweeted about the event.
