Princess Charlotte’s birth certificate proves royals do paperwork just like us — sort of

Turns out princes and princesses aren't exempt from bureaucratic paperwork.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge celebrated the birth of their daughter Charlotte Elizabeth Diana the way most people in the world do — by signing a birth certificate.

If it proves anything, it proves that the royals are kind of like the rest of us and yet totally not like the rest of us — at all.

Is "prince" an occupation?

Fun fact: The same Westminster City Council registrar who filled out Princess Charlotte's birth certificate also filled out Prince George's in 2013, and she got death threats from people who thought her handwriting was ugly.

"One person said their cat had better handwriting," she told the Daily Mail.

Let's hope for her safety.
