Following the shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, the Sanford Florida police department has been criticized of using poor judgement, conducting elementary investigations, and making ineffective use of key witnesses. We speak with two guests who argue that these failures were not part of an isolated incident, but rather indicative of a systemic problem in the Sanford Police Department when it comes to investigating major crimes; especially crimes involving African-Americans.
