It has been a devastating week for the people of Oklahoma. Monday’s tornado left 24 dead, hundreds injured and an estimated $2 billion in damage.
Despite the destruction, students from Moore, Southmoore and Westmoore high schools will graduate as planned on Saturday. Westmoore High School students Jeff Wood and Brooke Potter will be among them.
Jeff lives two miles from where the tornado struck in Moore. He helped the National Guard clear rubble from the Plaza Tower Elementary School, and Brooke has also spent the last few days donating and volunteering.
“If anything good has come out of this it has been this sense of giving and community, because there [were so many] donations, they had to turn people away,” Brooke says.
