Update from Cairo: Protests Outside Palace, State TV

Crowds have gathered beyond Cairo’s Tahrir Square. Thousands of people are protesting outside the Parliament building and Presidential Palace in Cairo. They are also blocking anyone from going in or out of the State Television offices.

The BBC’s Arabic correspondent Khaled Ezzelarab, is outside the presidential palace. The military is standing on one side of the barricade and the protesters on the otherside. So far there has been no violence.
