Senate fails to reach an agreement and abandons bailout bid

With GM and Chrysler teetering on the edge, the Senate was split on party lines on a bailout bill. Senator Bob Corker (R-TN) proposed a plan that is very tough on automakers and workers. Among other things, the companies would be required to cut wages and benefits to the level of those offered by Japanese car companies in the U.S. Todd Zwillich of Capitol News Connection and Sarah Hewlett, reporter for Michigan Public Radio, give us an update.
