Through midnight Monday, expatriate Egyptians headed to embassies and consulates around the world to cast their vote in the second round of Egypt’s parliamentary elections. These are the first free elections in 60 years and the first elections to take place since the Arab Spring. Ashraf Sewailam is originally from Giza, a city just outside of Cairo. He’s been working as an observer for the Egyptian parliamentary elections at the consulate in New York.
