Col. Gadhafi ‘Does Exactly What He Wants’

The Takeaway

The information coming out of Libya is confusing. Journalists haven’t been able to get into the country to report and Libyan’s ruler, Moammar Gadhafi has been making strange statements on state television. However, he should not be underestimated, says Marie Colvin, foreign affairs correspondent for the British Sunday Times, who has interviewed Gadhafi several times. The ruler has unleashed a violent response to protests in his country. “He does exactly what he wants in a country that is his playground,” she says.
