A Friday in Cairo: Cunningham takes over @GlobalPost to tour historic market

Friday in Cairo is not only about protests at Tahrir Square. GlobalPost's Erin Cunningham takes over the @GlobalPost Twitter feed to give a guided tour of Khan al Khalili, a market built in 1382 by a Mamluk sultan. After making friends with a stray cat, Cunningham haggles for silver, spices and tacky souvenirs.

GlobalPost's Twitter feed showcases the voices and personal experiences of our correspondents based around the world each week. A different correspondent takes over the @GlobalPost account each Friday and tweets about his or her travels and daily activities.
