The Beijing Olympics this summer are sort of China’s coming out party as a modern global power. But in a recent article for Portfolio magazine, journalist Josh Kurlantzick says that the Olympics may also be the catalyst for the next anti-government revolution in China. This time, the potential revolutionaries aren’t poor farmers, peasants or downtrodden workers. They’re professional, internet savvy homeowners who are angry over being evicted to make way for Olympic venues, shopping complexes, highways and upscale housing developments.
