The sistersgrew up in New England in a family with seven children. Susan, who lives in Maine, is the author of Evening, Lust and Other Stories, Folly, and Monkeys and wrote the screenplay for the film Stealing Beauty. Eliza is the author of The Tiny One and lives in New York City.
