Toll of extreme heat on mental health

There’s an emerging understanding that extreme heat impacts not just physical health, but mental health, too. One nonprofit in Bangladesh is studying how heat waves in informal settlements outside of the capital Dhaka are impacting things like anxiety and depression, and offering mental health counseling to alleviate the burden.
