A groundbreaking Australian play has come to New York for a few weeks. It’s called “The Visitors,” and it tells an important piece of Australian history from an Aboriginal perspective. A council of tribal leaders is called in when a fleet of ships appears in what is now Sydney Harbor in 1788. “The Visitors” is written by an Aboriginal playwright, and the cast and crew are also Aboriginal.
