Like its European neighbors, Germany is big on bicycles. The total number of bikes in the country is about equal the entire population of around 85 million people. Learning to ride a bicycle is actually part of the school curriculum for German kids. But the goal of teaching them and getting them out there to ride more often is facing some real challenges.
