Remembering Nicaragua’s first woman president

Violeta Chamorro, the president of Nicaragua from 1990 to 1997, died over the weekend at the age of 95. Hosts Carolyn Beeler and Marco Werman recount her political career, which was sparked in 1978 by the assassination of her husband, who was the editor of a Nicaraguan newspaper and a prominent critic of the government.
