Ex-Philippine President Duterte wins mayoral race despite detention at ICC

On Tuesday, votes were still being counted from Monday’s midterm elections in the Philippines, but there was one clear winner. Former President Rodrigo Duterte won the mayoral race in Davao City  despite being held in detention thousands of miles away at the International Criminal Court in the Netherlands. Duterte faces charges over alleged crimes against humanity. Host Marco Werman speaks with Christian Esguerra, a journalist and host of “Facts First,” a Philippine political podcast.
