Yemeni fishermen sell whale vomit for $1.5 million

Yemeni fishermen struck gold recently when they discovered ambergris — or whale vomit — in a whale corpse. The fishermen sold the rare and valuable substance for $1.5 million and are reportedly sharing the spoils with their village. The World’s Marco Werman spoke with Christopher Kemp, an ambergris expert, to better understand what exactly the substance is.
