Why is Russia’s ruble dropping in value?

The Russian ruble took a big hit after last month’s abortive coup by the Wagner private militia group-gone-rogue. Kremlin spokesman Demitry Peskov acknowledged “fluctuations” in the value of the Russian currency, but he maintained that, “There is no question of economic stability here.” Really? What other signs have emerged recently with regard to the strength of the Russian economy, which is still under heavy international sanctions? The World’s Daniel Ofman reports.
