Vladimir Putin and Xi Xinping met on a video call today to discuss US pressure and NATO. Their discussions ranged from the Beijing Olympics to financial cooperation, to Russia’s wish for a security guarantee for its own sphere of influence. Marco Werman interviews Robert Daly, director of the Kissinger Institute on China and the United States, about what the meeting means for the Russia-China relationship.
