In Istanbul, artist Carlos Casas has taken a disused metro tunnel and turned it into a sonic art installation, called “Cyclope.” Viewers walk the length of a dimly lit corridor, as the booms and sirens of a nine-hour soundscape reverberate through the space. The audio was created using a wind tunnel developed by Italian military researchers to study fluid dynamics. The World’s Durrie Bouscaren takes a look inside.
