Verdict expected soon in Hariri assassination plot

The Special Tribunal for Lebanon is expected to present its verdict Tuesday in the trial over the 2005 bombing that killed former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafic Hariri. The UN-backed court, located outside The Hague, Netherlands, was due to give a verdict against four suspects belonging to Lebanon’s armed Shi’ite Hezbollah group two weeks ago but postponed it following the huge explosion in Beirut’s port Aug. 4.
