Thirty years ago, the US and the Soviet Union signed the INF (Intermediate Range Nuclear Forces) treaty to improve relations toward the end of the Cold War. The treaty banned both countries from developing intermediate range and short range ballistic missiles. But Russia has been accused of violating the treaty and the US has told Russia it has 60 days to start complying or the US will withdraw.
