US to place troops in Papua New Guinea

Joe Biden was supposed to be in Papua New Guinea on Monday, becoming the first US president to ever visit the Pacific island country. But he canceled to stay in Washington, focusing on the debt ceiling deadlock. Top US diplomat Anthony Blinken is there instead. Though Papua New Guinea’s leaders are disappointed, they’re still pushing ahead with a controversial deal — to let US troops on their island. The World’s Patrick Winn reports.
