US military helicopter accident a reminder that US troops still based in Syria

US Central Command said on Monday that 22 US service members were injured in a helicopter “mishap” in northeastern Syria on Sunday. The accident is under investigation and according to CENTCOM, did not involve enemy fire. The accident is a reminder that there are 900 US troops based in Syria.
