US, Canada add restrictions to asylum agreement

The US and Canada have agreed to change a decades-old asylum agreement, putting more restrictions on migrants seeking protections in Canada. Susan Fratzke, senior policy analyst with the Migration Policy Institute in Washington, tells host Carol Hills about the new agreement, its goal of relieving pressure on both country’s immigration systems, and how it will impact the lives of people seeking asylum in the US and Canada.
