The United Nations on Friday released the most comprehensive analysis to date on global climate action. The report makes clear that radical changes are still needed to meet agreed-upon climate targets from Paris in 2015. It also calls for the phase-out of unabated fossil fuels. That sets the stage for a showdown on the topic at the next UN climate summit, scheduled to start in November in the UAE.
