When the authorities in Israel called on the public to stay at home in order to slow the spread of the coronavirus, one segment of the population — ultra-Orthodox Jews — resisted. Now, the insular community that makes up about 13% of the country is paying a big price. Naomi Zeveloff reports from Tel Aviv.
