Ukraine says it’s disappointed in Israel, for a few reasons. The government in Kyiv has long complained about Israel’s refusal to sell Ukraine advanced anti-missile technology to defend itself from Russian attacks. But more recently, Ukrainian officials have expressed frustration with Israel’s treatment of Ukrainians in Israel. Kyiv is reportedly considering canceling visa-free travel for Israelis. And then, thousands of Ukrainian refugees living in Israel recently lost access to health care funding. That raises questions about the future for Ukrainians who’ve relocated to the Jewish State since the Russian invasion. The World’s Matthew Bell was recently in Israel, and spent some time with a Ukrainian mom from Odesa, now living in Jerusalem.
