A year after Russia’s full-scale invasion, attacks on the Kyiv area have receded and rebuilding damaged areas is underway. But homeowners say the cost of repairing the war damage is mostly out of pocket, and that the Ukrainian government isn’t providing enough financial assistance. The World’s Daniel Ofman reports from the northwest suburbs of the capital.
