Most of the Ukrainian city of Mariupol was destroyed when Russia laid siege to the strategic port city in 2022. An estimated 100,000 people fled. The Zhyvotovska family was lucky. They made it out safely and eventually settled in Ashland, Oregon. Reporter Roman Battaglia met them on their one-year anniversary in the US.
