UK environmental activist delivers giant plastic tampon to Procter & Gamble to demand environmental action

This week, an environmental activist in the UK traveled to the European headquarters of Procter & Gamble, one of the biggest manufacturers of menstrual products in the world. In her arm was a 6-foot-tall plastic tampon made of used applicators found on UK beaches. Her message? Get plastics out of period products. The World’s Anna Kusmer has the story.
