Twenty years ago today, the first detainees filed into the US military prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden vowed to shutter the facility, but more than three dozen men remain there in legal limbo. Shayana Kadidal of the Center for Constitutional Rights works with Gitmo detainees. He tells The World’s Carol Hills why closing the facility has been so difficult.
