Russian President Vladimir Putin met with his Iranian counterpart, Ebrahim Raisi, and Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Tehran on Tuesday. It’s Putin’s first visit outside the former Soviet Union since the invasion of Ukraine, and comes amid US warnings that Russia is set to receive shipments of drones from Iran. The trio is set to discuss the war in Syria and the so-called Astana peace process.
