Turkey considers new social media regulations

Earlier this month, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said social media companies are immoral and unfit for the Turkish nation, and he vowed to crack down on them. This week, Turkey’s Parliament is debating legislation that would do just that. The government says the measures are intended to crack down on illegal behavior online. Activists say it will lead to greater censorship in the country. The World’s Lydia Emmanouilidou reports.
