Tunisian president tries to soften racist comments as international community reacts

Migrants in Tunisia have reported racist attacks and a climate of fear since President Kais Saied made comments in February about a plot to change the demographics of the country. The president and minister of foreign affairs on Monday attempted to soften some of the comments as many African nations called their citizens home. The sentiments were decried by the EU, United States and World Bank, among others. Lilia Blaise has the story from Tunis.
