Trump administration proposes cuts to foreign aid

The Trump administration announced their 2021 budget proposal today, and as in previous years, it includes drastic cuts to US foreign aid. While the cuts are not expected to pass the Democratic-controlled House of Representatives, Sarah Bermeo, associate director of the Duke Center for International Development, tells Marco Werman that the proposal itself will likely have impacts on the US’s relationships around the globe.
