Hindus in India are getting ready to celebrate Durga Puja next week. It’s the festival of the mother goddess, Durga. Usually, in a city like Kolkata, it’s a weeklong holiday with big crowds, gatherings at temples, and outdoor celebrations. But the pandemic will make everything different this year, starting with the religious significance of this year’s festival. Sandip Roy reports.
