Palestinian journalist and former New York Times correspondent Taghreed el-Khodary is deeply worried about friends and relatives now dispersed throughout Gaza. From 2001 to 2009, Khodary was one of the few Western media voices on the ground in Gaza. Today, there are few international journalists there, other than the handful embedded with Israel’s army, as Khodary explains to The World’s Marco Werman.
Every day, reporters and producers at The World are hard at work bringing you human-centered news from across the globe. But we can’t do it without you. We need your support to ensure we can continue this work for another year.
