The ‘witch’ camps of Ghana

The World

In northern Ghana, there are villages where women are hidden. Many are elderly, in their 70s.  They’re in these camps because they’re accused of being witches, but their voices can now be heard on a new album called “I’ve Forgotten Now Who I Used to Be.” They were recorded by award-winning record producer Ian Brennan — and his wife, Marilena Umuhoza Delli, who speaks to host Carol Hills about these recordings and the women in these camps.
