The Venezuelan cuatro makes its debut at the Hollywood Bowl

The national instrument of Venezuela, the cuatro, has undergone a big development in recent years. As millions of Venezuelans have fled their country, there are now cuatro players around the world, and some of them are winning Latin Grammy awards. This Thursday, the Los Angeles Philharmonic is premiering a cuatro concerto led by the acclaimed Venezuelan conductor Gustavo Dudamel at the Hollywood Bowl. The World’s Tibisay Zea tells us more about this instrument, and its LA debut.
