In recent years, thousands of Afghans have been forced out of their country because of direct threats from the Taliban. Activists, journalists and civil society workers are among them. Some took refuge in Istanbul, Turkey. Now, with the US troop withdrawal looming, these Afghans face an uncertain future. The World’s Shirin Jaafari reports.
