The stolen daughters of Chibok

Nigerian activist Aisha Muhammed-Oyebode has written a new book that documents the April 2014 kidnapping of northern Nigerian schoolgirls by Boko Haram. “The Stolen Daughters of Chibok” looks at how the abductions shattered some families but also brought out noble impulses as communities welcomed back girls who had been abused, raped and stigmatized. The author tells The World’s host Marco Werman that many of the young women are still being held, having been forced into marriage to men twice their age.
