Scientists in Norway’s polar region were astounded to find out that an arctic fox they were tracking traveled more than 2,000 miles via land and sea ice in just 76 days, from the Norwegian island of Spitsbergen to Ellesmere Island in Canada’s Nunavut territory. Marco Werman speaks with Harald Steen, a scientist at the Norwegian Polar Institute, which announced the fox’s impressive feat.
