The ‘Monster Missile’ that wasn’t

North Korea has put its neighbors on edge with increasingly frequent ballistic missiles tests. But the specter of a long-range ballistic missile that can carry multiple nuclear warheads all the way to the continental US is what people in the nonproliferation community call the “Monster Missile.” Back in March, North Korea said it had successfully tested it, and Pyongyang put out a film featuring leader Kim Jung-un to “prove” the achievement.
