The different ways a family of Ukrainian artists are dealing with war

The World

Art is the family business for the Isupov family of Ukraine. They are sculptors and painters. One son emigrated to the US in the 1990s but his parents and brother remained in Kyiv. The Russian invasion of Ukraine has upended their lives and their art. The World’s Carol Hills visits the older son in his studio in western Massachusetts to find out the different ways the family is coping and continuing to make art amid war.
